11/18/10

Last Friday was my sister's harry potter birthday party! It was so fun and a big success. Everyone that came was sorted into houses, going to potions, herbology and transfiguration classes. We also had a harry potter quiz contest and we played Quidditch. At the end of everything we ate cake, opened presents and gave out awards to people.
Above is a picture of my beautiful 15 year old sister by her "the monster book of monsters" cake my mom and I made. The other picture is of my cousin's arm. She dressed up as a death eater for the party and drew a dark mark on her arm with eyeliner! She got the best costume award.
It was such a fun night and I love my little sister so much. She is such a great friend and has always been there for me whenever I've needed her. I couldn't have asked for a better sister. ever.
love you bug.

My baby girl. My pumpy chumps! If it's possible for someone's life to be changed because of a 2 year old, then my life has been altered because of this 2 year old, Annie. This perfect little angel made me come to so many realizations about myself, and about this life. When I lived in Texas, Annie saw Jessica. She saw me for who I really was. She loved me with all of her heart, and would sit there and just hug me. She trusted me, and knew how much I loved her. She would play with my hair, copy me, and love me for everything I am. I love this little girl more than I could ever say, and I am so thankful to call her my cousin. She made me realize what I want in life is a family, and to have my own perfect little angel, just like Annie. Her spirit is so sweet, and loving, and she is exceedingly comical compared to most babies her age. I can tell she is going to be strong, and have the bravery of her mama. She is breathtakingly beautiful inside and out. She will have a piece of my heart forever and ever. I love you, Annie Pan!

On Saturday I went to a baptism for Kaleb Graf. It was such a spiritual experience and I felt so honored that my family and I were invited. Kaleb is such a sweet boy and has such a wonderful spirit. It was wonderful to be apart of his special day. Above is a picture of his youngest brother, Gabe. Him and his brothers were playing in the fall leaves after the baptism. They are so cute!
Watching them, made me miss my family so much in Texas. All the little smiles and all the laughter around when we are together...  The Grafs are such a wonderful family and I'm so glad they remind me of my family in texas: big, fun and happy. Without them and that reminder they give, I'm pretty sure I'd crack up here.

11/6/10

It's been awhile! I have been pretty busy with things, but now that my life has settled down pictures will be added regularly. yayyay! OKAY! soooooo... this is a picture of Toby, my doggie. I thought he would be a good picture to put up because he has been through everything with me these last past weeks. he has seen it all in black and white. I haven't been in trouble or anything just busy, as I have said before. School is so... ugh. You know? Thank goodness it's my last year in high school. Anyway, here is some stuff that have happened these past weeks: My brother is going to Hawaii for two years, My sister's play is coming up, went to the Art Institutes open house, my mom has started teaching voice lessons, Halloween came, friends birthday, end of school term one, and driving. So, yeah those are some things that have been going on. Not so exciting, I know. But hey, I'm looking at the good things. Today I'm going to a baptism so I might add a picture or two from that later. OH! And my sister is having a birthday party next week. It's going to be BIG. So, that will supply us with some fun pictures as well. Other than that I'm waiting for some good movies to come out and Thanksgiving:) So, until something exciting comes up I'll see you later!

STARS. Last Wednesday my best friend, Elise and I went to a concert we have been impatiently anticipating for weeks. We drove up to Minneapolis around 8pm to prepare for the concert, Stars began there outstanding performance at 10pm. IT WAS MIND BLOWING. Probably makes the top five concerts I've ever experienced. The pianissimos, the swells, the drum builds, every single moment kept me in awe. I couldn't have asked for a better welcome home. Thank you, Stars for your incredible, and unique musical craft.

Today was the start of the general conference weekend, and it has been such a great day. The talks during the first and second sessions we so great. They were full of love and in each one the spirit was present. After the sessions for today, my mom, sister and I went up to the mountains to enjoy the gift and the beauty the Lord has given to us. The leaves on the trees are starting to change, and the color everywhere is beautiful. On top of everything else, we found out today that my brother's mission call will be here this Wednesday. I'm so grateful for the example my brother sets for me. This day has been wonderful and I feel so blessed to be living in this time and age and so thankful for everything that surrounds me.

9/20/10

This last week I got pretty dang sick. It all started on Sunday. Throughout the week it got worse and on Tuesday I couldn't take it anymore. I had a sinus infection and I couldn't stay at school because I felt so nasty and weak. So I stayed home the rest of the week. It was horrible and went away way to slow for my taste. But Toby & the green couch helped me get through it all. Toby was always laying by me and almost never left my side & for some reason the green couch always seems more comfortable to me than my bed does when I'm sick, so I was happy to have both of them. Then, finally Saturday rolled along and I was all better. It was a long week but I'm happy to be feeling better again.
